Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (SOFMC) kicked off 2025 with a busy schedule, showcasing iconic national tours, thrilling hockey action from the Victoria Royals that has resulted in one of the most exciting teams in franchise history, along with many other incredible events.
In the first three months of 2025, SOFMC welcomed nearly 90,000 patrons through its doors for some of the largest shows Victoria has experienced and the conclusion of the hockey season, which led into the 2025 WHL Playoffs.
The year began with a powerful send-off as SUM 41 launched their national farewell tour, “Tour of the Setting Sum,” at SOFMC to a sold-out crowd in January. The Friday night show brought together thousands of music fans to celebrate and bid farewell to one of Canada’s most iconic punk-rock bands. The momentum continued with the 90s Dance Mix Tour, Mother Mother, and Our Lady Peace featuring Collective Soul, each bringing their energy to the arena to warm up the winter months.
March was rich with Theo Von’s comedic stylings and The Beach Boys’ classic sounds, but one show stood out. Jelly Roll’s sold-out performance was not merely a concert; it was a full-scale production featuring stunning visuals and controlled fire effects that transformed SOFMC into an immersive experience. It was one of the largest productions the arena had ever witnessed.
Beyond the concert scene, SOFMC celebrated a milestone with the Victoria Royals’ qualification for the WHL playoffs as the second seed in the Western Conference, with their first playoff game attracting over 4000 fans to cheer them on. The playoffs continue for the Victoria Royals as they head into the second round in April. It’s their time to reign, and we’re so excited to be part of the ride (you should book your tickets quickly)!
Looking ahead, we have many more exciting events lined up for Victoria! The Victoria Royals’ playoff run promises to deliver thrilling hockey action in the arena. We also have the iconic Jerry Seinfeld performing on April 26th, along with shows from British rockers Bush and the legendary ZZ Top. Don’t forget! Cirque du Soleil’s “Crystal” will transform SOFMC into a captivating ice spectacle for an extended run from May 8th to 18th.
Don’t miss out on the laughs, the theatrics, the music, and the WHL Playoffs’ action. View upcoming events HERE and book your tickets!
