2020 STARS ON ICE TOUR CANCELLED AS SAFETY PRECAUTION IN RESPONSE TO ONGOING COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH THREAT

(Toronto, ON) – In response to the recommendations by the World Health Organization, local bans on mass gatherings, and the closing of the US/Canada border to all but essential travel, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Stars on Ice tour for the health and safety of its skaters, staff, partners and fans. The world’s premier figure skating show had planned its 2020 tour of 14 cities in North America from April 24 to May 17.

“This is the first time in our 34-year history that we have canceled a single performance, much less an entire tour. We thank our fans, performers, and staff for their support, and look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 season,” said Byron Allen, Producer of Stars on Ice.

All patrons who purchased tickets will be given a full refund. Stars on Ice tickets purchased online or over the phone from the official ticket agencies will be automatically refunded. Patrons who purchased tickets in-person from the venue box offices should contact the point of purchase. Additionally, all Stars on Ice Meet & Greet passes that were purchased for the 2020 Tour will be refunded to the original payment method.

(Victoria, BC) – We’ve all visited the local skating rink or glided around a pond in winter, but until you’ve sat mere feet away from the best in the world, you’ve never truly experienced figure skating. Whether weightlessly gliding through the air, or moving at the speed of light, these skaters are among the most gifted athletes on the planet, effortlessly performing on a stage that combines the thrill of the Olympics with the pageantry of Broadway. The 2020 Stars on Ice tour will bring the beauty, intrigue and awe of the world’s premier figure skating show to Victoria on Tuesday, May 12 for a 7:00 PM performance at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
